Peñas Blancas - Acevedo Huila

High in the mountains of Acevedo, Huila, the Peñas Blancas Processing Center is helping reshape what’s possible for small producers. More than a mill, it’s a collaborative effort rooted in education, shared knowledge, and long-term opportunity. By providing access to better infrastructure, hands-on training, and more transparent pricing, it creates a path for producers to improve both coffee quality and economic stability.

Founded by producers Nestor Lasso and Jhon Vergara, Peñas Blancas brings consistency to processing by centralizing it under experienced oversight. For many farmers who previously faced limitations around quality and market access, it’s opened the door to new possibilities. Through ongoing workshops and collaboration, the project continues to build a stronger, more connected coffee community in Huila.
