CLEVER DRIPPER

  • Equipment: clever dripper, gram scale and timer, kettle
  • Coffee dose: 15-25
  • Grams water: filtered water, preferably low TDS spring water or RO (avoid water heavy in minerals such as evian)
  • Water temp: 195 - 205 F (lower temp for darker more developed roasts, higher for lighter roasts)
  • Grind size: similar to coarse salt (adjust depending on brew time)
  • Ratio: 1:16 (coffee : water)
  • Target brew time: 4 min 


Brew Instructions:

  1. Rinse paper filter / pre heat brewer
  2. Increase water temp to boiling
  3. Place brewer on top of scale and tare
  4. Pour total amount of water into brewer first (e.g. 320g water)
  5. Start timer
  6. Slowly pour coffee on top of hot water, trying to evenly distribute it
  7. Using a small spoon, lightly submerge any dry spots to ensure all is wet
  8. At 3 minutes, use your spoon to submerge all the grinds into the water
  9. Place brewer on top of vessel to start draining
  10. Give brewer a slight swirl to ensure grinds arent stuck to side
  11. Target 4 min total brew time (adjust grind if needed on next brew )
