Chiapas El Porvenir

El Porvenir is a carefully processed blend multiple varieties grown in Chiapas Mexico by organic co-op, GRAPOS. 

GRAPOS (Grupo de Asesores de Producción Orgánica y Sustentable) is a cooperative of coffee growers based in Chiapas, Mexico, near the stunning Triunfo Biosphere Reserve. They started in 2007 with just 90 farmers and have grown to more than 3,200 members across the regions of Soconusco, Siltepec, Porvenir, and Tapachula.

As the group has expanded, so has the number of women producers—many of whom now own or have inherited their farms. Most of these smallholders farm 3–7 hectares and, like the rest of the cooperative, grow a mix of crops to support their livelihoods—banana, squash, beans, cacao, and corn are the most common. Beyond coffee, many of the producers also earn additional income through textile production.

This is a sweet and balanced medium roast great for any brew method.
