1. What comes in the Espresso Discovery Duo?
The Espresso Discovery Duo brings together two of our signature espressos: GC Heart Organic Espresso and Streetwise Espresso. Think of it as two expressions of espresso, side by side—one classic and traditional, the other bright and modern. It’s an easy, delicious way to explore different espresso styles and discover what you love.
2. How do GC Heart and Streetwise taste different?
GC Heart is rich, silky, and traditional, with notes of chocolate and toasted caramel and a medium-dark roast that feels familiar and comforting. Streetwise takes a more modern approach: bright, balanced, and complex, with chocolate at its foundation and a cleaner, more expressive finish. Brew them side by side and you’ll really taste how roast and blend style can create two very different espresso experiences.
3. Which espresso is better with milk?
Both work beautifully, but they bring something different to the cup. GC Heart loves milk—its chocolate, caramel, and fuller body make it a natural fit for cappuccinos, cortados, and lattes. Streetwise brings a brighter, more complex character, creating a milk drink that feels a little more lively and modern. Try both the same way and see which style speaks to you.
4. Why try the two espressos side by side?
Because tasting them together makes the differences come alive. GC Heart represents a more traditional espresso experience, while Streetwise shows a brighter, more modern side of espresso. Brewing both gives you a chance to explore sweetness, body, brightness, and balance for yourself. There’s no right answer here—the fun is discovering your espresso.
5. What’s the best way to brew the Espresso Duo?
Naturally, espresso is at the heart of this duo, and brewing the coffees side by side is our favorite way to experience their differences. For GC Heart, start with 18–19g in, 34–36g out, in 24–26 seconds. For Streetwise, start with 18–19g in, 40–45g out, in 24–26 seconds. From there, dial each one in to make it yours.
The brew methods recommended for the Espresso Duo include espresso, pour over, french press, drip, cold brew, AeroPress, and moka pot. So while this duo was made to explore espresso, there’s plenty of room to experiment. Try the same brew method with both coffees and taste them side by side—you might be surprised by what you discover.
